How we are organised
Our organisation is led by a Board of Directors, made up of executive and non-executive members. They help steer our strategy and make sure we’re delivering safe, effective care. We also have a Council of Governors who represent our staff, patients, and local communities—helping us stay connected to what matters most.
Day-to-day, we’re organised into care groups and corporate teams. Our care groups focus on areas: urgent and emergency care and medicine, planned care and surgery, families and communities and Children and Family Health Devon. Each group is led by a team that includes medical, nursing and operational leads—working together to make sure services run smoothly and meet the needs of the people in our communities.
Behind the scenes, our corporate teams support everything from digital transformation and estates to communications and workforce development. Everyone plays a part in helping us deliver great care and to continue to innovate and improve.
We’re a big organisation, but we’re also a close-knit community. You’ll find people here who are kind, collaborative, and passionate about making things better. If you’re ever unsure where something fits or who to ask—just ask someone nearly – they’ll be happy to help.
