How we help each other

Supporting each other to live well and create a great place to work

  • We are a team – we work together, we include each other, we look after each other – for example, we have over 170 wellbeing buddies in our teams who offer a truly local first line of support and signposting to anyone who needs to reach out for that little bit of extra help that we all need from time to time
  • We work flexibly – we change how, when and where we work when it is needed – for example if there is a critical or major incident, or we need to help out another team
  • We each have a voice that counts – we listen to each other with genuine curiosity and we value everyone’s contribution
  • We are recognised and rewarded – we celebrate our people through our people awards and other awards (you can nominate your colleagues or your team)
  • We are compassionate and inclusive – we include, we listen and we act, our staff networks help us to hear from our people and identify where we can do things better
  • We are always learning – we are curious, we use best practice to make improvements, we are innovative
  • We are safe and healthy – we aim to support psychological safety where admitting mistakes is encouraged without fear of repercussions
